LBCMA FILM CLUB: AN EVENING OF 16MM FILMS WITH 3TON CINEMA

3TONcinema is an itinerant microcinema and 16mm film “orphanage” founded in 2009 in Oakland, CA. With their collection of roughly 1,001 ephemeral titles from the twentieth century, they seek to bring small-gauge analog cinema into the future in unexpected ways. 3TON has exhibited in a wide variety of venues (in twelve states), including Mack Sennett Studios, Ochoco National Forest, the Knockdown Center, Coaxial Foundation for the Arts, Sound Pedro, ATA Gallery, 16 Beaver, SOMArts Cultural Center, and the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Co-founder Archly Terpsichore (fka Montgomery Cantsin) is a collagist and sound artist from Illinois. Co-founder Laskfar Vortok is a video artist and composer originally from Mérida, Mexico.
